Disneyland rope drop wait times!

What’s rope drop you ask? ⬇️⬇️

Rope drop is basically being IN the park the moment it officially opens to head to your first ride. The first 1-2 hours after opening is the best time to beat crowds and long ride lines. You won’t need Genie+ during this time too so if you’re wanting to save money and skip Genie+, rope drop is a MUST.

This means you need to be through security and scanned into the park BEFORE it officially opens. If the park opens at 8am, you’ll want to be waiting INSIDE of Disneyland, ready to go, BEFORE that 8am opening. Make sense? 😉

There are many rope drop strategies available online so be sure to take some time to decide what and where your family will head once the park opens. The entire point is to maximize that time, and going into it without a plan will just waste time.
