Irish writer Dervla McTiernan's Cormac Reilly series would make a fantastic limited series through Netflix or Amazon. She writes really excellent, twisty-turny mystery thrillers with satisfying playoffs, and she has a very compelling character in DS Reilly. If you haven't started this series, you should.
