Why I won’t be travelling with T-Way

Just returned from a Japan trip with my husband and baby. I don’t know why I entrusted my husband with booking the air tickets, never thought I’d be travelling budget with a baby for a long haul flight 🥲 additionally we flew 3h to ICN with a two hour layover before continuing our flight to SIN for another 6h.

This is why I will not be travelling with T-Way anytime soon:

1) Just for the non-parents, let me emphasise the importance of a bassinet seat 🥲 upon check in @ Sapporo we requested for a bassinet seat. FYI, whilst these seats are usually “premium” if you’ve a baby, they’ll typically reserve it for you so they can set up the bassinet and your baby can have a proper sleep area during the flight. Long story short, they told us I cannot request for it upon check in and have to request before boarding the next flight. Lo and behold, the transfer was such a nightmare that by the time we reached the gate it was boarding. Even though the bassinet seats were empty they told us we cannot use it. So we have to survive with a squirmy baby.

& yes we tried to find a number to call or email them pre flight but no response. Their customer service is practically close to none.

2) The crew, while I refrain from generalising them, a few of them on board will definitely leave a sour taste. No smiles, no greeting. One innocently tried to say hi to my sleeping baby which woke her up, sigh.

3) Condition of the plane was so bad…every seat we sat on, which was 4 different seats, there were scribbles. Mine even had coffee stains. I had to quickly wipe down before my handsy baby touches everywhere. The windows were so dirty too 😖 &&& what do you mean the seat cover is coming off??? Yeah can always Velcro it back but not when it comes off all the time when we put down the tray? 😭 omg and look at the second picture, the lights??

I’m very traumatised by this flight, I’m 16 weeks pregnant with a squirmy baby on board for a total of 9h. I almost died.

Without a baby, I prob still would not travel on tway, the seats are not comfortable despite the great leg space. I guess the pro is the amazing price point which my husband was OBVIOUSLY looking at 😂 great for students looking for an affordable flight!!
