WHAT TO DO IN OSAKA 🇯🇵🏯

It was my first time visiting Osaka during the summer. The weather is quite hot, with some days being hotter than Singapore ☀️ These are the places we went and there’s more 😆

We arrived at USJ around 10 am on a weekday, and it was not very crowded. Remember to reserve your time slot for the Nintendo entry before you arrive, as well as download the USJ app for your convenience (mostly for waiting time and the map). Arrive early to avoid crowds. Fortunately, the day we went was not particularly crowded, and the average wait time for most rides was 40-60 minutes. The weather is really hot, do remember to bring your caps, portable fan (which is a life saver) and your shades. My friends and I got sunburned as there were not many sheltered areas other than the gifts shop.

𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 🦌💩

The deers were roaming around freely finding food. For 200 yen, there is a deer snack booth directly in front of the park. It will repeatedly bow to you as it waits for food. Be mindful of your surroundings as there are many poops around because I stepped onto it 🥲

𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐩 🍡

If you visit Nara Park, make sure to try the famous mochi store with over 20 years of experience. About 5-10 mins away from the park. The chewy mochi is packed with a sweet red bean paste.

𝐎𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐤𝐚𝐢 🍤🍗🍜🍣

The street is mostly filled with food and is especially beautiful at night. Save some space for the gourmet food and the night views with neon lights. Shinsekai also has a mega don quijote nearby where you can shop until you drop. It is the largest don quijote I have visited in Osaka.

𝐎𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐘𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢-𝐊𝐲𝐮 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥 🥩🍵

We encountered this amazing beef bbq restaurant. It is close to Dontonburi/Shinsabashi. The beef was tender and melted in our mouths. Not only was the beef amazing but so was the rice and sauce. We even ordered more rice and asked for extra sauce. However, as the portion is small, it was not cheap, but give it a try if you are close. *We walked in with no reservations*

𝐊𝐲𝐨𝐭𝐨 ⛩️🎋

One of the most beautiful places I have visited in Osaka, everything just looks so phenomenal. We rented our kimonos from a place named "Curun." We paid roughly 60 sgd each for the kimono, bag, footwear, and hairdo. We then went to Higashiyama, where we wandered through small streets filled with souvenirs, food and experienced traditional Kyoto. There were 2 nearby temples and shrines to visit, Kiyomizudera and Yasaka shrine. There were numerous ice cream shops which were best for summer days. Matcha ice cream is a summertime must-have.

𝐊𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 🐟🦐🦞🐙🦀🦪

This place is for all seafood loversss!! The freshness of the seafood that you cannot get in Singapore HAHHA and is affordable. The A5 beef and king crab is my favourite. My friend also said sashimi is good. For those who do not eat raw food like me, there’s sushi restaurant at the market too that sells cooked food. Also, my friend recommends the sea urchin. 👍🏻
