Platforms for Brand Collabs!!

If you are a new content creator OR influencer looking to branch into working with brands, gifted and paid collabs can be your next step. There are many platforms designed to connect influencers/content creators with companies. Here are a few platforms you can join, AND my tips for creating an account that gains attention:

You can sign up for email lists to be alerted for brand deals/opportunities. Many of these platforms also have the option for you to search for and apply to opportunities that interest you!

Each of these platforms is different, but in general, here is what you'll want include to build an account that gains attention:

-Media kit: many platforms will ask you to upload a version of your media kit. This is also very important to have when emailing brands. I will be sharing a post soon about creating a media kit if you want to check it out!

-You need to know what niche you are in so the right brands get connected with you. For example, do you post about lifestyle content? Med school content? Fitness content? (you should also do a quick check to make sure all your content is centered around this goal. -You will likely be asked to upload a quick bio about who you are and what your account does, so be prepared to share one!

-Most platforms will want you to link whatever social media platforms you use so that brands can look at them. Instagram and TikTok are two of the most common. If you work on Instagram and do not have a Meta business account set up, you will probably be asked to do so in order to link your Instagram account.

-Lastly, you will often be asked by these platforms to share your engagement rate, follower demographics, and audience size. The more helpful information you can share, the better. Brands need to understand what type of followers you have, because the audience they would want for different products varies!
