What’s in My School Bag?

This school year I invested in a new backpack to bring to medical school and to use during clinic. It's smaller than my other one, which limits me to only bringing what I really need. Here is my advice on what you actually NEED to bring to campus:

1) Keep anything that you transfer from one bag to another into its own separate pouch. For example, I have a pouch that keeps all of my cords and cables together. I also keep my wallet and my medications together. Using pouches or purses also keep things organized.

2) In terms of tech, I like to bring my iPad and my laptop. Apple's new products are pretty slim and lightweight, which I really appreciate.

3) Snacks are always important if you are studying a lot or spending a long time in a clinic. I like to bring snacks with protein, and snacks with carbohydrates that I can eat on the go.

4) I like to keep items I will access regularly in my small front pocket. For me, those include my Anki controller, lots of pens, and hand sanitizer.
