TIPS for Booking LONG TERM Stays on AIRBNB

For the past 1.5 years, I have been living out of Airbnbs across the globe and have found that it’s the most comfortable way to live a “steady” lifestyle while still consistently traveling. Every month, my best friend and I have been choosing a new country to live in, always in a different corner of the world. Whether it’s Colombia, South Africa, or Costa Rica, Airbnb has yet to disappoint :)

Here are x3 tips for booking long-term or monthly airbnb rentals:

1. Always ask the host about wifi speed prior to booking! Life as a digital nomad is crazy and chaotic, the last thing you need is to arrive to a home in a new country and have wifi that doesn’t work well.

2. Staying for 4 weeks / 30+ days? Ask for a monthly discount. Airbnb hosts love the stability of having guests in the home consistently and will most likely add a long-term rental discount. Don’t see in marked on Airbnb? Just ask :)

3. Location!! Where the home is located will likely have a big impact on your experience. Do your research on where you should stay and check out what’s nearby the accommodation (groceries, beaches, mall, restaurants, etc).
