Phoenix, Arizona has some of the best hiking in the country and here are my top picks! All within a 30 minute drive of Scottsdale, they are easy to get to :)
Camelback Mountain (4925 E McDonald Dr): Arguably the hardest hike in Phoenix! Over 2,700 feet high, this hike is a killer. You’ll definitely feel it on the way up but the view from the top is incredible! The 2nd highest peak in Phoenix provides for a 360 degree view of the city and such a rewarding end to an intense hike.
Hole-in-the-rock (625 N Galvin Pkwy): A small “hike” up the rock to one of the best sunset watching spots in Phoenix. Definitely not as strenuous as your usual hike but it’s great!
Tom’s Thumb (23015 N 128th St): One of the best trails in McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Right outside of Phoenix you’ll find some of the best hiking trails!
Piestewa Peak (7200 N. Piestewa Peak Dr.): Right in the heart of Phoenix / Scottsdale is the hike nicknamed the “Stair Climber”. Your booty will thank you later for this one, but the view from the top is insanely rewarding!
