Let’s Talk About Homophobia 👩🏼‍❤️‍💋‍👩🏻🏳️‍🌈👨🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏾

First things first!

⭐️Anyone who hates or judges another and then use their religion as an excuse to be judgmental or hateful towards other people needs a reality check.

According to the Bible, to love God is to love everyone. That is one of the main principles of Christianity. To quote the Bible:

Luke 6:37-38

Jesus says, "Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. Do not condemn so that you may not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and things will be given to you.”

Matthew 7:1-2

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

⭐️That being said - in most religion, including Christianity, the general basis is to follow and worship your higher power, be good to others and to not judge others, to simply be a good, God-loving being.

⭐️Those who claim to be Christian and those who hide behind their religion and then spread judgment and hate towards the LGBTQ+ community, towards those with a different skin tone or ethnicity than them; I hope you realize your faults and start to be kind to others. It’s shameful to see others being so hateful and judgmental when we could all simply be kind.

⭐️It is totally fine if you yourself aren’t a part of the LGBTQ+ community, you are allowed to be whatever you want to be in this world. That being said - WHY NOT choose to be kind despite your differences?

⭐️Here’s an analogy. You like pink, I like orange.

What if I were to call you disgusting and tell you that my Bible says liking pink is wrong, it’s a sin.

Just because you like pink gives me the right to judge you and treat you unkindly?

It doesn’t make sense!! Nobody would treat someone like that for liking a different color, so why treat someone like that for liking a different gender?

⭐️Revelation 22:12 (ESV)

"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done."

To put it simply, all sin is equal in God’s eyes. Sin is sin and we ALL sin. Personally, I would say that hating someone for LOVING someone else is much worse than simply loving someone else.

As a bisexual woman who worships God, I am sick and tired of seeing hatred and judgement coming from “TRUE Christians” when they can’t do something as simple as loving others, respecting others and not passing judgement.
