🎃 Travel Diaries 🇬🇧: Pumpkin Patch Experience

This October, I visited Bert’s Barrow in Hillam, North Yorkshire, and it was a perfect autumn day. Bert’s Barrow is a family-run farm known for its friendly atmosphere, beautiful pumpkin patch, and fun experiences that make you feel at home.

The staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole place is designed for people to relax, have fun, and make memories. It’s an ideal spot to enjoy a day out in the countryside.

The best part of my visit was picking my own pumpkin. Bert’s Barrow grows around 70,000 pumpkins and squashes, so there’s plenty to choose from. There are all kinds of pumpkins including big, small, round, or oddly shaped ones. Wandering through the patch was so much fun, and I left with a big, orange pumpkin to carve and some little ones for decoration.

Besides the pumpkin patch, Bert’s Barrow also has a beautiful wild flower field, all the flowers were so pretty and you can pick them up at no extra charge. Of course I had to bring some home.

Bert’s Barrow doesn’t just grow pumpkins. They also grow Christmas trees. After Halloween, you can come back to pick out a fresh Christmas tree to bring the holiday spirit into your home. It’s nice that Bert’s offers something special for both autumn and winter.
