Japandi, as the name suggests, is a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian styles. It is influenced by the ancient Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, a way of life which values slow-living, contentment and simplicity, as well as the Scandinavian practice of hygge which embraces comfort, cosiness and wellbeing. Japandi theme is easy to achieve with right color, stay in theme and keeping things dainty or neutral.
Heres a few tips on how to create a Japandi theme corner!
🤎Inspo 1: Assembling the corner
Choose a cornered space in your house that has much lighting and make sure the walls are empty or in one single tone. Assemble the corner with one decorative couch, a small dainty deco at the side it could be anything; a basket, a plant or a standing lamp. Lastly decorate the corner with a wall wooden hanging shelf to complete it! The details will be in the next tips!
🤎Inspo 2: Japandi Dainty Vase in odd shapes
As i have explained before, japandi is a mixture of Wabi-sabi and a little bit of Scandinavian so an odd shaped vase jn neutral color fits right in and make sure its not too crowded to send a message it is the statement piece in that very space!

🤎Inspo 3: Decorative Couch
A statement couch is important when you’re creating your fav corner and for mine, i chose a decorative couch in a wool-like material to make it elegant, fun and fluffy look! I pair it with a sidetable on the side that is in deep wood color as a contra!

🤎Inspo 4: Decorative Corner
You can decorate your corner with anything you like but make sure that everything is in the same color code so it wont be too messy. Have a side table with a unique round design table-lamp and i make sure the lighting is in cool white! Not too bright and not too dim. Have a painting bigger than the table rest behind it to hide the switches and i got myself a huge rattan basket and deco it with a throw and a pillow!

🤎Inspo 5: Wall Shelf Decoration
The shelf will not be missed out on the decorating part too; i make sure they are well balanced so i decided to decorate it with fake books and small dainty vase to keep things interesting.

🤎Inspo 6: Wall Decos Assembles
The placement of my furnitures are very important and my shelf are located right in between then i adjust my floor furnitures accordingly to make sure it is in the centre of the wall! The decorating placement is neared to the side since i dont want the middle to get too crowded and the light tone is soft and orange.

Table-lamp: ikea
Heres how i get my dream japandi corner to shoot for my work at home, making sure my background are nice and neat in the same neutral tone color so whatever outfit i’m wearing or working with the very day, it will blend perfectly.
