5 things I do to stay busy while homeless 😌🤍😌

💭🤔Thoughts: Am I homeless? This is the questions had to myself the day I arrived at my friend’s house. Is this considered being homeless even though I have a place to stay. And the answer from google says yes, if a person is unable to secure or maintain permanent and stable housing without assistance, then they are considered homeless. So, this answered my question considering I’m on public assistance and have no way of obtaining housing for myself. I digress…. Anyway…. lol

👀POV: Mopping the halls of my friend’s house before she gets up for her night shift as a RN. I say thank you to her through acts of service for her selfless generosity for opening her doors to me during this difficult time.

💁🏽‍♀️5 things I do to stay busy while homeless:

❤️ 1. I cook most the meals in the house and make sure my friends dinner is hot and waiting for her before she leaves for work. (Side note: I thank God for the EBT/SNAP I’m able to receive, to be able to contribute food to the household)

❤️2. Sweep and mop the floors and make sure I keep the house in order to make her life much smoother. (Tip: Boil the water before mopping the floor it lends itself to a cleaner floor)

❤️3. Take long walks in the neighborhood to get out the house and clear my mind.

❤️4. Talk to God frequently because it brings me peace knowing that he is close.

❤️5. Read the Bible to ground me to the promises of God, this allows me to focus on hope and not the current circumstance.
