A great doctor to be 🫶🏻

A visit from someone very special today. She walked in and said “hi I am a medical student” …

My immediate response was ask Joshua if is ok to let her listen to his heartbeat which he is used to it over the 2 weeks stay.

Then she said “no no I’m not here to examine him for practice, im here to visit him. I was one of the 2 medical students attached to the emergency room when Joshua was sent in by the ambulance. Me and my friend were very worried for him and have been praying for him” 🥹🥹🥹

She’s a year 4 medical student at NTU. She shared with me that she’s been following up with Joshua’s progress as she cannot forget the day in the emergency room. ❤️‍🩹

I asked her, since you were attached to the emergency room you should be encountering more “serious” case compared to Joshua’s?

She told me yes they do witness falls and trauma if that’s what I meant by serious. But Joshua’s case is the most severe one throughout her attachment in KKH.

She explained that the blood tests showing that all his organs are failing including his heart and brain. Though the doc did shared with me at that point of time but I just couldn’t register how my son landed in a resuscitation room over a fever. Guess is a reminder that I almost lost my boy.

This sweet young lady even brought a set of cute little mechanical pencils and asked josh to choose one. ❤️😍 that brings a smile on his face.

And to tell how sincere she was about the visit, she even wrote a little card for him!

Grateful for angels around us.

She’s going back to school to continue her studies.
