π©π»βπ» Iβve been working from home for the past 2 years, and have had my current setup (with some tweaks) for the past 6 months!
π₯οΈ I used to be a MacBook only kind of girl, but my husband gave me his old monitor and I havenβt been able to live without one since and recently got a new 27β one which allows me to view windows side-by-side easily on one screen!
π WORKSPACE:
Working in an office space previously has taught me the importance of having a large work desk for productivity. Iβve also realized that I enjoy working in a space which has minimal clutter YET has all my essentials organized and within reach (e.g., pens, tissue, planner). Iβve tried having less, but my current setup is as minimal as it gets while still working for me! Especially love the wooden MUJI organiser because it has both tall and small compartments for pens & smaller items (e.g., airpods, lip balm, hair tie). I also got a large desk mat to help tie things together, and which also functions as a mouse pad and a coaster βπΌ
π‘ LIGHTING:
A pain point we had while designing our study was not having enough light. We try to avoid turning on the overhead light because itβs just β¦ ugly, but my monitor light and candle warmer/lamp has solved this!
π€ FUNCTIONAL DΓCOR:
I find that I am happier and work better if Iβm in a good mood but prefer minimal clutter. Instead of decor, Iβve made sure to buy only items I like, especially since I only want necessary items on my desk. This might mean shelling out more for nicer items, but itβs worth it when everything ties in together!
