Warm Chewy Goodness 😋

My grandma once told me about her favourite old bakery in Takashimaya where she used to frequent with her friends because of the nice pastries there. This bakery is none other than the currently TikTok famous Mini One Bakery which sells a range of bread including their most popular chewy mochi strawberry bread.

Knowing this, I just had to try it out for myself to make my own judgement. Upon reaching the shop, there was quite a moderate queue of letsay 4 groups of customers before me, and the queue moved really fast! Additionally, RIGHT when I was about to place my order, a fresh new batch of strawberry mochi chews came out. It was warm, fresh from the oven, and I was really happy.

When I bit into it, the first thing that made an impression on me was the crunchy outsides yet chewy mochi inside! The strawberry taste was just right, not too overpowering. I would say that the mochi wasnt too sweet, and it was definitely a unique taste and flavour, but I dont think i’ll go back for seconds. Personally this isnt something I can eat on a daily basis due to its hard-ish texture which makes it quite hard to chew.

Just a note to myself and to anyone reading this: You should eat the mochi while its still warm and fresh… Dont be like me by saving the mochi, and finding out its as hard as a rock after that.. Inedible
