Visit to the enchanting Yufuin Floral Village

On our trip to Fukuoka, we also took a trip to Yufuin Floral Village which is an enchanting charming village with quaint cottage-style stores. This place is highly popular with tourists that even the Yufuin No Mori train which connects directly from Hakata station was fully booked up when we enquired 3 days before our scheduled date. We highly recommend staying at least one night over here as it tend to be very crowded during noon time. We only managed to take a nice picture on the next morning when the tourists have not arrived. Staying overnight also means you can catch the sunset at Lake Kirin which was really beautiful and serene. We had a relaxing stay at Hinoharu Ryokan afterwards with a Kaiseki dinner and an open-air bath to wrap up our trip to Yufuin. If you have the time, combine this trip with a visit to nearby town in Beppu and check out the onsen mentioned in my previous post :)
