MAKEOVER BY A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST 😍💄

since my graduation ceremony is coming, I wanted to experience having a grad shoot with professionally done makeup 🤩🌸 and also have my own princess diaries glow up moment HEHE 👑 i've never had my makeup done professionally before so this was really exciting 💖

My acquaintance Janine (@janine.mkup on Instagram) is a professional MUA, and since I checked and saw that she was freelancing in her bio, I dropped her a DM to ask if she was willing to do makeup for me and my friend -- and she was! 🥰🥰

My friend and I showed her some photos of the look we wanted to achieve! I wasn't really sure about what suited me so I asked her to do whatever she thought was best, and I showed her some sample pics that gave kpop vibes ✨

I'm sure the photos speak for themselves 😍 because I had the glow up of the century HEHE but imo this session was super worth the money I paid since I pretty much got a consult out of it with how many questions I asked HAHA ☺️

I was able to ask her so many questions I had about makeup such as:

❓My skin tone

🌸 I'm neutral toned but more yellow

❓Whether gold/silver jewellery suits me

🌸 I suit silver jewellery

❓What eyeshadow shades suit me

🌸 I suit cool brown shades

❓Foundation brands + shades that suit me

🌸 She recommended fenty's eazedrop and lancome foundations!

❓What hair colours would suit me

🌸 Cool tones like mushroom blonde (for blonde) and berry red (for reds) would suit me

❓Where my blush placement should be and what shade I should use

🌸 I suit the igari blush placement style and she used romand's blueberry chip on me!

*Of course, makeup styles and preferences are up to the individual! These 🌸 responses are just her suggestions since I asked ☺️ And now thank god I don't have to waste money on warm tone palettes AHAHA

As you can see in the pics, my makeup lasted well into the night 🌙 and I slayed all day 🌟 My skin is pretty dry so it must have been difficult but she made it work 🥺😭 My eyes are also really sensitive so unfortunately I chose to forgo all the lash stuff 😔 but my friend's lashes looked GREATTT 🤩 She even did hairstyling to go with the makeup! 💁‍♀️

💸 She did mention that her usual rates are around $180 for makeup + hairstyling, but she's really friendly so just drop her an insta dm + let her know your budget and she'll see if there's anyth feasible! 🥰 she also offers discounts if there's more than one person so why not get your makeover done with your friend? 👀

I would def recommend her as an MUA and would do this again if I had another impt event or photoshoot to attend! 😊💓
