I recently moved to Brooklyn so I've been actively exploring the neighborhoods around me. In a way, I'm seeing them with a fresh pair of eyes as if I'm stepping foot into NYC for the first time! Greenpoint has always felt like a charming neighborhood to me so I'm excited to share a guide on what to do and where to visit if you want to spend an afternoon there!
88 10th Ave & W. 15th Street
This store lets you customize bracelets and necklaces using the charms they sell! I had a blast looking through their charm selection. There were food items (avocados, drinks, pineapple), star signs, names, animals, and many more. My friend and I had to wait a bit before being allowed to enter. The store is definitely busier on the weekends!

I'm a fan of Sichuan food so when I heard that a new Sichuan place had opened in Greenpoint, I knew I had to try it out. We ordered a beef stew, scallion pancakes, and string beans. The food was so delicious and authentic! The service was also fantastic. My friend and I appreciated that they let us just hang out at the restaurant for 3 hours catching up (granted, it was a rainy afternoon so there wasn't a line of people waiting to be seated).
3. Thrifting
Thrift stores and stands are everywhere in Greenpoint. You can find them by McCarren Park and along Bedford Ave. It takes a lot of patience sifting through many leather jackets, coats, and varsity jackets before you find THE item but trust me, it'll be worthwhile.

I was craving coffee so I walked into a coffee shop called Designers Collab. This is a coffee shop/designer and home goods store which I thought was such an interesting duo. For a limited time, their coffees are only $3! I spent a good amount of time admiring the decor and home goods on display and imagining what they'd look like in my home.
