Homemade green salsa

6-8 tomatillos

3-6 serrano peppers (depending how spicy you like it)

1 garlic clove

A quarter of a white onion

Handful of cilantro

Salt to taste

peel and wash tomatillos. Boil in a pot with enough water to cover them. When the tomatillos change to a darker green color, remove from pot and let cool. Now stem and boil serranos peppers along with the clove of garlic. Once softened, remove from water and let cool also. Add to a blender with about a cup of the water from the pot, and add salt to taste. Blend for about 10-15 seconds or until desired consistency. I like it on the chunkier side. Now finely chop the onion and cilantro and add to mixture. Add more or less to your preference. Stir until well combined and enjoy! Goes great with tortilla chips, or any Mexican dish!
