Best Books for a Breakup

I recently went through a breakup and this prompted me to put together my own breakup overcoming kit. I asked for some help from friends and remembered one book that really supported me with a past breakup as well. I hope these support you and please let me know if you give one a read & what you think in the comments!

📖When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron - this is full of mindfulness & wisdom from one of the predominant spiritual teachers of our time. I found a lot of beautiful concepts such as reflecting on fear, impermanence & more. I did want to re-read many of the chapters multiple times to really let the concepts sink in, and I can see myself revisiting this one many times in the future.

📘You Can Heal Your Heart by Louise Hay - this book gave me a whole new perspective on breakups when I originally read it in 2019 (at the start of the pandemic when I had my last major breakup). One of the quotes that stayed with me to this day is - “Can you consider a relationship that ends a success?”. The idea of conscious uncoupling and amicable breakups has always resonated with me and this book backed up those concepts in a major way. Louise Hay has a ton of other beautiful & very healing books as options!

-📚Single Is Your Superpower - ok this is technically not a book, but a journal, but it's an important step on your healing journey: rediscovering & falling in love with yourself!
