hey! this is a late post because i was in seoul end april and was back on 3 may!

but i just wanted to share abit on my first solo travelling experience!

₊✩‧₊˚ im 22 this year & i travelled to seoul for 7 days 6 nights for a concert 😆 initially my mom was super against it but.. i already booked everything then told her (easier to ask for forgiveness than permission 🤓 but also because imo seoul is quite a safe spot, and this was my 4th time in seoul so i guess i would say im quite familiar already!)

₊✩‧₊˚ honestly my biggest fear when travelling alone is.. sleeping alone LOL (i sleep alone in sg too.. but you know) so i decided to book an airbnb that's as SMALL as possible so that it wouldn't feel as scary.. i also slept with my lights and tv on as background noise HHAHA most days i would be quite tired after walking the entire day so i would just toh luckily

₊✩‧₊˚ travelling alone has its pros and cons definitely! i get to eat & try whatever i want, i get to wakeup anytime i want, and do whatever activities i want in the given moment, i don't have to have a plan that i need to follow strictly.. eg. 3pm need go gyeongbokgung palace 5pm need go han river etc. can do whatever i want and throw everything around (im messy but ofc i cleaned the airbnb up on my last day) but the cons is not having someone to take photo for you (LOL), not being able to try as much as food as possible (because some korean dining spots reject solo diners, so most of my dinners i would settle it at the restaurant near my airbnb! also because it closes late) my biggest struggle this trip is having to carry my 25kg luggage up and down 3 stories of stairs (my airbnb does not have a lift.. 😭)

₊✩‧₊˚ would i do it again? yes!!! its so peaceful and liberating.. i actually love it!! if you're thinking of travelling alone, remember to do a research of the country you're going (whether it's safe for female travellers, imo korea & japan is quite safe). SAFETY IS #1 PRIORITY!! can't wait to solo travel again!
