Holiday tables can be stressful and coming up with ideas can be hard sometimes.

I have had to host many holiday family parties over the years and I have had some successes and some failures.

The successes have been being prepared and not micro managing everything. Just let the party happen!

Set a nice table and have the food prepared and let the magic happen.

Having a game or two in your back pocket if you need it is a good idea. I always like to have questions prepared. I get them on Pinterest. They always have great questions you can get to copy down and have for a party and that way you are prepared for a fun game if you need it! Sometimes you don’t! Questions can be a get-to-know-you type thing. People love that for an ice breaker.

One year, my sister put candy apples at every person’s place setting and that was a really special touch. Doing an extra special thing like that really makes a difference and makes people feel welcome.

Place cards are also a nice touch at everyone’s place setting, if you have the time to do it.

These are just some ideas of things you can do to make your holiday table stand out a little bit this year.
