DIY Witch Hat Halloween Decor

I love Halloween and decorating this time of year. The funny thing is I was not a huge Halloween decorator when my kids were little go figure! I guess I didn’t have as much energy when they were little. Now that they are all grown, I really go all out! I do it for the grandkids!

This year I’m using witch hats to decorate a couple areas of my home on the inside and out. They are inexpensive and make a big impact.

On the outside of my home, I strung them up using fish line and hung them from a wood beam in front of the porch staggering them at different heights. I really like how it turned out.

On the inside of my home, I thought it would be fun to hang the hats on the wall. I used simple painter’s tape that you can get anywhere to tape them up onto the wall behind the large mirror in my great room.

On the large mirror, I hung a big spider that I purchased from Amazon a few years back and it looks pretty creepy! I’m just glad it’s fake.

The witch hats were purchased from Amazon and were less than $1 a piece. I think it turned out great, plus it was budget-friendly and who doesn’t love that? Are you ready to try this in your home?
