The Best Egg Sandwiches in Korea 🥪

Korea is known for their street toasts, where you’ll find a stall for these toasts in almost every corner of Seoul. While you may have heard of the famous Isaac toast, I personally feel that Egg Drop’s version of egg sandwiches are better, where they incorporate elements from the American breakfast/sandwiches in their food.

🥪 American Ham & Cheese

A classic breakfast sandwich. Perfectly scrambled eggs, a nicely folded ham and accompanied with a lightly sweet mayonnaise. The saltiness from the ham and cheese was nicely balanced with the gentle sweetness of Egg Drop's mayo. The fluffy eggs also contrasted nicely with the meaty ham. In all, just well-paired contrasting ingredients that work oh so well.

🥓 Bacon Double Cheese

The bacon double cheese was just more of the same except with different proportions of eggs, cheese and the addition of the saltier and chewier bacon. Accompanied with the garlic bread instead of the normal bread, the fragrance of the garlic butter did nothing but enhance the sandwich.

🐮 Bulgogi (Marinated beef)

The bulgogi had a generous serving of raw lettuce topped with lightly minced sweet marinated bulgogi and wrapped with a comforting garlic spread toast. Personally, I felt that there was too much lettuce and too little bulgogi. This was probably a better fit for the local Korean palette.

This was just a much better executed rendition of the korean breakfast sandwiches I tried in Singapore. If you enjoy korean breakfast sandwiches, come give Egg Drop in Korea a try. You're not going to regret coming here. P.s. take up the option to change the bread to their garlic bread. We did and it just made everything better!
