Regarded by some as the best KBBQ spot in Seoul, we stopped by on a visit with high expectations.

The restaurant used charcoal to grill their meats but the servers’ skillful and attentive use of the suction kept our clothes (and the restaurant) from smelling like kbbq.

The quality of the meats were decent but a little pricey. Visit Majang Meat Market if your focus is on high quality meats at the most affordable prices. Of course you’d need to cook the meats yourself and sacrifice the nice ambience and attention by the servers we got here at Wangbijib. We got the premium 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐒𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐧, 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐍𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐭, 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐰 and 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞. Additionally, we got their 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 (비빔면) and 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐰 (된장찌개) as complimentary dishes when we posted Google reviews for their restaurant (do ask the staff if this promotion is still valid)

The 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 (반찬) here definitely caught our eyes. Our 2 favourite ones were the 𝙨𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙥𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙠𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙝 and 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙧𝙖𝙬 𝙚𝙜𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙡𝙠. The pumpkin mash had a nice balance of flavours and tasted healthy. The mash was topped with a drizzle of condensed milk and the combination really whetted our appetite. Meanwhile, the raw egg yolk in the shredded greens lent a creamy and smooth texture to the greens. This was a combination we never knew we needed. In addition, the side dishes were free flow so you get to pop as many eggs for the gram as your tummy allows for. This would be a great for aspiring egg poppers to hone their skills.

Overall, Wangbijib is a restaurant I’d highly recommend tourists to include in their itineraries who wish to indulge in quality Korean BBQ while shopping at Myeongdong.
