Mao Shan Wang Durian Cake in Town 🍰

We were looking for a tea time snack and this 🌟 𝑴𝒂𝒐 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑾𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒂𝒌𝒆 🌟 caught our eyes as we chanced upon Sinpopo at Funan.

This $12.90 sliced cake features layers of soft, fluffy cake that are generously filled with pure Mao Shan Wang durian flesh, and light chantilly cream. The cake is topped with even more Mao Shan Wang durian flesh and is finished off with a light coating of soft cake crumbs.

As a durian lover, I enjoyed this very much where the bittersweet durian flesh was creamy and mildly sweet. I also enjoyed the moist cake sponge where there were hints of grated coconut within the durian flesh in the cake as well. While durian is known to be overwhelming for some, this cake would be a good start for beginners to enjoy before moving onto the real fruit.
