Visited this Korean-western fusion bar one weekend and we were blown away by the food and makgeolli.

🧀 𝐊𝐢𝐦𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞

This unassuming dish turned out to be the crowds favourite of the night! Beneath that blanket of melted mozzarella cheese was a generous amount of macaroni, coated in kimchi cream sauce which wasn’t too cloying. The addition of the kimchi is a refreshing touch as the dish can get surfeiting with the amount of cream and cheese. There were also bits of pork belly within the cheesy goodness which I felt was unnecessary. You may also request to make this dish vegetarian 🌱 Overall, this was incredibly executed and I’d probably get one just for myself in the future 🤪

🍲 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐰

This was a hearty dish which came with ramyeon noodles, spam, sausages and topped off with a little bit of cheese. This was smaller than expected, which also meant that we could order more food to try.

🦐🦑 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞

Generous amounts of shrimps, clams, mussels, squid, eggs, onion and chives. The pancake was well seasoned but the seafood could be more evenly distributed. The dipping sauce on the side also helped to cut the greasiness of the dish.

🐔 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐩

Trust me, this isn’t as intimidating as it’s name. It turned out to be sweeter than expected. The chopped chicken was stir fried in a concoction of sweet and spicy Korean sauces, and served in a cast iron pan. I loved how the chicken chunks were tender, and the ball of rice, aka 주먹밥 paired well with the sauce. This dish is versatile as you can have the chicken and rice separately, or mix them all together and make it a spicy chicken fried rice 😋

We ended the meal with a large order of 𝐋𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢 and we loved how it was light and refreshing. The consistency resembles a slushie, with a light alcoholic aftertaste. I am not a drinker but I enjoyed this!!

The overall ambience tends to be on the noisier side as the restaurant was packed and I felt that we had to constantly raise our voices as we could hardly hear one another. The price points may be steep, but it’s definitely worth a visit or two.
