Food reccos in HCMC!!! 🇻🇳 BEST COM TAM & MORE

Hi 🍋's!! So, recently I went to HCM to try the best local foods and here are (almost) all that I ate!!

1. Cơm Tấm 15a/4

15/4a, Đ. Lê Thánh Tôn, Bến Nghé, Quận 1, Hồ Chí Minh 008428, Vietnam

Located right behind our accoms @ Meander Säigön (best accom btw).

We had just arrived in HCM and this was our first meal and it set our standards so high?? It literally has only 5 reviews on Google 🥲 The broken rice was so fragrant and the pork chop was so good as well 🤤 I dream about it everyday sigh.

2. Bánh Mì Huynh Hoa

Best Banh Mi ever?? But unfortunately we were quite full and the portion was HUGE. Hence, we couldn't enjoy it fullest :(

3. Eggyolk Coffee

220 Đ. Lê Thánh Tôn, Phường Bến Thành, Quận 1, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam

We actually wanted to go to Little HaNoi Egg Coffee (Yersin) instead but we weren't near the area so we settled for Eggyolk Coffee! Honestly, I think this was so good?? The eggyolk foam blends so well with the coffee. It felt like a dessert.

4. CAT TUONG RESTAURANT

Super comforting Pho!! It was raining and our initial plan was to have dinner at Ben Tanh market but there wasn't anything that intrigued us. But thankfully!! we found this Pho restaurant and it was the best thing ever 🍜

5. Banh Xeo (food name)

We chanced upon this street food stall when we were getting our coffee at Katinat Saigon Kafe - Nguyen Du . Lemme tell you. THIS WAS THE BEST THING WE HAD. We were so sad that we only bought 1!! We wanted to go back and buy 2 more but the RAIN. It was raining everyday after 3pm 😭

6. Quán Bún Thịt Nướng 88

Highly recommend to try this for breakfast!! Y'know it's a good restaurant when the shop owners can't speak any English and there were no foreigners (except us haha). The fresh spring rolls and the bún thịt nướng was sooo good.

7. Quan Nem Restaurant

We came to this place to try Bun Cha (which is grilled pork meat) and the crab spring roll. We found the Bun Cha pretty meh but the spring roll was good! This place was filled with Koreans and they have their menu in Korean as well 😂 Hence, not sure if this is 100% authentic.

8. Pizza 4P’s Lê Thánh Tôn

THE FAMOUS ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN HCM.

This really lives up to their hype (and name)!!! The pizza was SOOO good. We tried 4 different flavours: 4 cheese, Parma ham with burrata, Spicy garlic shrimp & Miso scallop gratin (our favs are the garlic shrimp & scallop gratin 🤤🤤)

The crab pasta was average though. The tomato base was not very strong and it would've been better if they cooked the crab meat together.
