right next to soi 19!

so i went down to upper thompson tdy and came across this store called Tomyum Mama next to the famous soi 19! i've tried soi 19's thai wonton mee before so i decided ok lets j try smth new! and thrs this guy that keeps raving about his signature dishes right outside the store LOL so i thought why not!!!!

and aft trying i know why not.......... i really wouldnt come again 😔😔

so i ordered 3 dishes — claypot tomyum mama, crab meat fried rice and yaowarat glass noodles! the first 2 were like signature dishes and the last one was raved to be their regular customers' go to dishes.

these dishes were indeed yummy, but it felt like i was in a chinese restaurant instead of thai! the food tasted veryvery chinese, like the tomyum mama tasted like laksa........ i literally couldnt taste any tomyum 😭 this was my least favourite dish!

but the fried rice had a strong wokhei taste so its quite nice!! for the glass noodles it was really good tbh, all portions were big and i finished this one myself! its just that these 2 tasted like zichar imo, which is why i wouldnt come here again since i was expecting more thai flavours🙏

tldr... j go next door for thai wonton mee
