our new home?? 🏡

ahh!! my partner’s brother just bought a house and it came with this cute lil tiny home and a bunch of land, and he’s offered us to move in and pay the cheapest rent of our lives!! 🏡

i’ve always been interested in tiny home living (don’t get me wrong i’m gonna have a tough time consolidating our belongings and living minimally) and i think this will be such an interesting chapter for us!

he signs the papers this thursday, which means our move in day would be june 25th! i can hardly believe how quick this major life change is happening but i’m feeling so excited and grateful for the opportunity! it will mean my partner and i will both have to get new jobs in a city we’ve never even visited before, but i know we can persevere and make a life for us wherever we choose to live 🖤

job hunting is scary, but we have a lot of experience behind us, and i know we can do it 💪🏻 one my main concerns besides job hunting is that we have two cats and this is a tiiiiiny home! luckily they’re kinda lazy?? they are either always sleeping in their cat tree or just looking out the window, chirping at the birds! we’re gonna bring our kitty playpen (i shared it a few posts back) so they can still have outside enrichment time, and i’m hoping it’ll be enough! they hardly like to play, they are definitely both pretty chill and just like to relax, so i’m hoping the smaller space won’t make too much of a difference for them!

i’m gonna be telling my boss about the move today and i know she’s gonna be sad (we are soooo understaffed), and i’m a lil nervous 😅 but i know this is a great opportunity and i’m excited to push forward!

my partner and i always talk about our life journey as if we were plants- sometimes you outgrow your pot and it’s time for a change! and living where we are right now has felt sooo stagnant lately, we aren’t happy with the area, he’s not a fan of his job, and we really don’t even have many friends here anyways! we usually spend everyday we aren’t working bored at home, playing games or watching tv. we used to live in a very outdoorsy area and we’ve missed that so much! i think this lil home and all the nature surrounding us will be the breath of fresh air that our souls have been craving!! 🖤

could you live in a tiny house?? it takes a lot of change, organization, and patience! hopefully we can handle it 😂
