How i lost US$4737 (approx 6.1k SGD) in 30mins 💸

🔴 Hi folks! Today was a red day for me. The markets were very hard to read today, and was very trappy. I fell for their traps, and got humbled real quick. I take utmost pride in what I do, and I am here to showcase to all of you the real side of trading. No hiding of losers, just full transparency. 😊

🔵 Social media has portrayed trading as a 'get rich quick' scheme. In reality, it never is! We as traders, do take losses occasionally, and this is just part of doing business. (think of revenue vs expenses when running a business, it is the same)

🟠 On this day, I let my emotions got the better of me. Ego clouded my judgment because of the green streak that I had recently. Got overconfident, sized up too fast and abruptly, and I paid the price very quickly. However, does that mean I will make changes to the system that I am currently using? Of course NO! This is because i have huge confidence in my system from all the backtested results that I have acquired over the years.

⚫ On days like these, it is important that we do a thorough reflection of what went wrong so that moving forward to the new trading session, we are crystal clear on the pitfalls.
