Twisted Series

Okay my thoughts on this series are a lot. So I’ll break it down book by book

Twisted Love ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don’t like the whole “touch her you die” theme if it’s not in a fantasy book. Alex seems so overbearing and if someone said even one of the things that he says to Ava I would be on the phone with the police so fast. I did like that he helped Ava overcome her issues, but I think the end of the book proved that she’s more than capable on her own to take care of things when she needs to. Even throughout the rest of the series she deals with anything that comes up and hides things from Alex because she knows he’s crazy.

Twisted Games ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay I loved this one. I love the dynamic of how they go from not being able to stand each other to not being able to breathe without the other one. I really enjoyed the insight this book also gave to life behind the curtains for royals. It showed how sometimes things aren’t perfect and that in order for happiness to prevail you have to make changes.

Twisted Hate ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had the song Best Friends Brother from Victorious stuck in my head the whole time I was reading this book. I really enjoyed that they are both their own people. They’re both determined to achieve their goals, and whenever one of them has a tough day the other one is there to help them through it. Wasn’t really all that prepared for Jules’ background but it certainly made things more interesting.

Twisted Lies ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Again with the overbearing “touch her you die” these men are crazy and need to be in jail. I was cringing through this one if I’m being completely honest. It was a lot. I’m not saying that there weren’t some moments that were good I just know for a fact now that unless there’s some mythical war going on amongst Fae I’m not really interested in an overbearing love interest. Christian of course helped Stella with all of her ongoing issues and kept her safe (somewhat) which I appreciated and enjoyed, but I feel like in a way he fed into her and his own psychosis rather than helping her work through it. He kept her sheltered away and just for himself when she wanted to be her own person and not let the fear control her.

All in all the series was good. It helped me learn a lot about the kind of books and plots that I do enjoy and ones that I don’t. I wasn’t expecting them to all have some level of crime/politics within them but they do which was cool just unexpected, and sometimes it kinda was confusing as to why it was happening. Regardless I recommend the series
