L’Appartement 4F: Brooklyn Heights Bakery

This Brooklyn Heights bakery holds a special place in my heart! The owners (a couple) first ran the bakery out of their apartment, and then opened a store in May 2022. On a Saturday morning, you’ll still see a line wrapping down the block!

Each item on the menu is melt-in-your mouth perfection, but here are some of my favs:

Item: Croissant, $4

You absolutely need to pick up a plain croissant and a coffee - it’s the ultimate French breakfast, and the croissant is perfectly airy and buttery.

Item: Le Parisien, $14

Aka a ham & cheese sandwich on a baguette. It’s a little expensive here, but you can tell the ingredients are top notch.

Item: Pistachio Rose Croissant, $6

All of the speciality croissants are amazing here, but this one is something special. Don’t let the green scare you! I love how there’s still almond paste inside.

Item: Baguette, $5.50

A classic. I always pick one up when I’m here for a pre-dinner snack, worth every penny!

Item: Sourdough loaf, $12

Next on my list to try. I never did get on that homemade sourdough loaf train…

Item: Chocolate chip cookie, $4

Is $4 for a cookie insane? Yes, but you’re in New York so you’re not that surprised. This is my favorite cookie in the city (probably the world)
