i’m a huge taro lover so when I heard that there was a cafe in sg specialising in taro bakes/drinks, I immediately followed them on ig & have been waiting for a good time to go down and try it for myself… and I finally did!!!

🍰 taro mochi swiss roll — $6

At first it looked small but it was surprisingly filling!! The taro paste was on the slightly sweeter side but not so sweet till I couldn’t finish it. I liked how all parts of the dessert (the cream, the roll, the paste) had the fresh taro taste to it — it didn’t have the artificial candy-like taro taste (that I absolutely hate), and the roll itself was fluffy but on the denser side. The mochi was chewy and gave a good balance and dimension to the swiss roll, although since it was plain it wasn’t anything really special!! All in all — yummy!! but when I come back I’d probably opt to try the other bakes though~

☕️ iced flat white with oat milk — $5.50

First of all. they give plant milk replacements free of charge ??? AND hot or iced drinks are the same price 🥹🫶🏼😭 With oat milk (oatside), soy milk (soy boy), and normal milk available, we opted for oat milk bc we love oatside & why not :”) Not a big coffee drinker, so asked my boyfriend to help review this~

⟡ ambience

Tucked in a small corner (beside the famous Crawford BCM!!!), it’s a rather small but cozy cafe. There are power plugs available at almost every table, but there’s a dining limit of 60 minutes during peak periods so do take note!! We went at around 4pm and it was empty but after we ordered suddenly so many people started coming in HAHA :”)

wanted to try the taromisu and the taro basque burnt cheesecake but it was sold out!! 🥹 was too full from lunch to try the other drinks but will definitely be coming back to try their other pastries and drinks!! if you love taro like me, do give this place a try~
