Alternative Easter Egg idea

every year we host an easter egg hunt for our kids. this year we decided to do it differently. instead of stuffing the eggs with copious amounts of candy - we decided to put all of the makings of a trial mix inside the eggs.

we had the kids collect their assigned egg color & told them not to open the eggs.

once all the eggs were collected - we gave them each a mason jar & told them to dump the contents of their hunted eggs into the mason jar.

they loved it and each ended up with a super yummy trail mix treat.

bunny mix:

• chex cereal

• pretzels

• mini chocolate chips

• mini marshmallows

• cashews

• goldfish

• easter m&ms
