NYC Fun Weekend Idea: Brooklyn Museum 😍

Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 11am-6pm

First Saturdays 5-11pm

This was my first time going to a museum in such a long time, I loved every minute of it. It’s so beautiful and spacious on the inside.

Once you walk in to buy your tickets you’re greeted with this huge beautiful Kaws statue. Such a beauty, I love Kaws!! There was 5 floors with different cultured galleries, I only got to visit 3 floors but there was so much to look at and learn about.

Some of the most interesting finds was the mummy of the anonymous man, there is an actual mummy in there 😳 there was tons of Hindu sculptures, I enjoyed seeing some of my culture in there. The ritual apron is made out of real human and animal bones. There was so many other things!!!

Before leaving the museum I visited the gift shop, and the Virgil Abloh “Figures of Speech” apparel caught my eye. $5 for t-shirts and $10 for hoodies. Virgil was a dope fashion designer.

This is a place you need to go, you will leave in awe! I give this museum a 1000/10 ✨ I will go back soon because I feel like I missed out on sooo many other exhibits.
