The “it” drink of Summer 2023🍹

Meet the “Hugo” - I can’t get enough of this delicious spritz cocktail and I have to credit my Mom for discovering this delicious concoction over Christmas, although it’s been around a lot longer than that but just now making its way to the states.

It originated in 2005 in Northern Italy and is most popular throughout Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Ingredients:

• Fresh mint, St. Germain Elderflower liquor, Prosecco, lime juice, plain sparkling water

To make:

+ Muddle the mint in the bottom of a wine glass (or roll in your hand to release the oil)

+ Fill the wine glass almost all the way up with ice

+ 2 tablespoons of St. Germain (do 3 if you like it sweeter)

+ Fill the cup 3/4 of the way with Prosecco

+ Top with sparkling water + half of a lime’s worth of juice

+ garnish with a lime wheel and another mint sprig

+ mix well with a straw or spoon
