What I Never Knew Until Almost Too Late✨

This is such a raw post, and honestly I feel a little weird posting it on Lemon8. But I wanted to bring attention to a very important issue: being gentle with ourselves for the sake of our past self, and looking back on things we wish we knew then!

There are so many things I wish I could have told myself, but these are the top three. Most of my regrets stem from my perfectionist tendencies, my inflexible nature, and my devotion and obsession with grades.

So here’s my advice to a younger me, and maybe you might like to read it too….

I’m still dealing insecurities I’ve developed from these struggles and I have regrets too. But most importantly is that I’m still working on my self and letting go of perfectionism, embracing new things, and saying yes more often to myself and others. I’m learning that I can grow and don’t have to be stuck in the same patterns I was. That this is a new season, and there are more joys and lessons to come. And most of all, I am stronger for my weaknesses.
