Sharing some of the recent desserts ive tried around Bugis!!!

Cafe Margaret 🍪

✨ what I tried: red bean & butter scone

💰 price: $5.30 (I think!! I can’t rly rmb)

- cosy Korean vibe cafe

- wide variety of scones, cookies and cube pies

- v smooth red bean filling & thick butter

- butter wasn’t jelak despite the amount HAHA but the red bean was abit too sweet for my liking

- but if you’re a sweet tooth you should come try out this cafe!!! It’s a great place to chill and catch up with friends

MARU MOCHI ☁️

✨ what I tried: sweet potato/black sesame

💰 price: $3.20 for 1 (signature flavour)

- trying out the viral mochi!!!!

- it was super QQQQQ & soft especially when it’s fresh and still warm

- the filling is goood & not too sweet but I feel like more would have been better because the skin itself is quite bland

- wanted to try the taro flavour but they were out and the wait time was 1 hr!!!!!

- my bf rly liked it but I find it ok only

Yat Ka Yan Dessert (Fortune Centre)

✨ what I tried: durian chendol/chendol/yam purple rice w milk

- an alternative to ah chew????? (I’ve never tried ah chew so I can’t compare the taste…. the queue is always so long!!!)

- their chendol is the bomb 🤯 must try!!!! The durian chendol was on the sweet side because of the durian puree, go for the regular chendol if you prefer smth less sweet!!

- yam purple rice w milk won’t ever go wrong 😗 im bias because it’s a combination of everything i like

- warning ⚠️ There’s a queue too but I feel that the queue moves rather quickly

Shinfuni 幸芙妮 – Bugis Junction

✨ what I tried: taro orh nee polo

💰 price: $4.90 for 1, $9.50 for 2

- it’s hugeeeeee it’s bigger than my palm 🫨

- the polo bun itself is fluffy and soft

- the crust 😩 so good

- filling is v taro-y, has a fluffy consistency and there’s so much filling too!!!

- nth can replace taro in my heart 💜✨😚 please go try it too 🥺
