Here comes the third food exploration!
Last weekend, I celebrated my birthday at a creative Chinese restaurant, located at Clarke Quay. I thought it might be a gimmick, but every dish I ordered is absolutely delicious!
🐙Thai-style Marinated Jellyfish with Octopus (16): The savory octopus and tender jellyfish paired with Thai sauce created a harmonious blend of sourness and sweetness that left us exclaiming in delight.
🌸Japanese-style Crispy Tofu with Oats (10): Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, each bite yielded an unexpected burst of flavor and texture, truly astonishing!
🔥Flaming Roasted Chicken (30): One of the restaurant's signature dishes, the skin was perfectly crispy, and the chicken meat was incredibly tender. It leaned slightly towards a salty taste.
🦆Peking Duck (88): The duck was carved tableside, accompanied by four sauces – caviar, foie gras, classic dip, and a sweet option. For the second course, we chose to have it stir-fried with noodles, which though ordinary, still tasted great.
🦀️Spicy Alaskan King Crab with Steamed Mantou (22): Usually, spicy chili crab leaves your hands oily, but the chef handled it well by mixing crab meat with egg white, perfectly complementing the steamed mantou buns.
🍆Fish-fragrant Eggplant (22): The eggplant was incredibly tender. As someone picky about eggplant, I highly recommend this to you.
In summary, each dish is not a traditional Chinese cuisine, blending flavors from various countries.
For those planning to visit, it's best to make reservations online in advance. The day before the reservation, they'll send you a reminder message with directions to find the restaurant.
The location isn't easy to spot naturally, and there's a high step at the entrance, so be mindful of safety.
