Those dreaded words "You are just a rebound"

✨️#storytime when I was 23 I entered into an inter-racial rebound relationship by accident. I was working with a party organizing app while he was one of the spenders in a group that would frequent the then Spider Room at Avalon.✨️

🍎It was a wild phase for me because I dated multiple guys in that group and so did my girlfriends. One of them actually slept with one of the guys in the group, got ghosted and acted crazy in their group chat, posting her nudes to gain attention.🍎

🌩After I dated him, I thought I was dating down because of (again) schooling differences. I guess I thought I was just too good for him. I was also just fresh off a 2 year relationship that year and treated him as a rebound. When we broke up, I told him honestly that "You are just a rebound to me and I think I'm dating down." He chided me for saying such words.🌩

😵‍💫After we broke up, he stalked me around for weeks and kept a blog where he documented his followings of me and my girlfriends, which I thought was slightly creepy at the time. I was checking his blog obsessively wondering if he knew about my comings and goings. And he even called for a meeting with the other guys from the group and my previously mentioned girlfriend to find out the truth! (I didn't double time him but I did date another one of his friends after we broke up.)😵‍💫

🙃Was I wrong for being honest in breaking up? I wasn't discriminatory towards him but my parents didn't approve of the relationship at all either. fast forwards 10 years and he's doing well so maybe that leaves me as the one whom is the one he's dating "down".🙃
