Drawing Every Day - portraits and construction 🍋

I am supposed to be working on these lay-in drawings where you just draw the structure with really clean lines and then don't even finish the drawings??

The most important thing to learn from the exercise is to not commit to any lines too much, be willing to move them. But then when you are ready, you should still be able to clean up the lines easily. It's a balance with not being too committed to the sketch, but not going super messy either.

Honestly it is not very fun. I want to finish all my sketches. Don't think I'll do any more of the just lay-in sketches.

I also did another charcoal style portrait. This one I got done a lot faster. I'm not done doing these!
