Draw with me 👩‍🎨 statue study

The particular statue that I referenced was Giovanni Bautista Lombardi's Ruth. The actual statue has the entire figure's body, and was sold to a private collector in 2017 for 33 thousand dollars.

I am once again using watercolor pencils 💕

I did a review of them on my page a while ago.

When I used a blue chalk pastel for the background. Honestly I think it's going to smudge everywhere inside my sketchbook, even though I sprayed it with a ton of hairspray 😵‍💫, I hadn't tried pastel in watercolor paper before 😂

I think that if I do another statue study, I want to really focus on consistent shadows with my lines.
