Old school Japanese western food restaurant

At Umeda, Osaka, within the same building as Kinokuniya, there are many eateries at the basement. I went to Grill Ron for dinner.

There was a row of stools outside the restaurant and we needed to sit on the stool to wait for our turns.

There were only 6 tables and 2 or 3 counter seats. Each table could sit 1 to 4 pax. Many were actually solo diners, which seem to be common in Japan.

The restaurant has got the old school western vibes. The table cloth, curtains and lamps all felt so homely and cosy.

They had various grilled food and fried food. I order omurice with fried prawns. The tomato rice wrapped under the rice was very tasty.

The portion was huge especially if you order other dishes with steak.

Overall, I really like the vibes. As I was not very hungry, I could not really finish the rice.

Similarly, they serve water and provide wet tissue.
