Not For Everybody But Here’s My Story

I’ve struggled with weight for as long as I can remember. Before my first son was born (almost 8 years ago) I had lost 60lbs on Herbalife. It wasn’t sustainable and I gained it back. When I got pregnant I was 205lbs. I barely gained any weight with him because I got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I controlled it with diet and exercise which helped me not gain a lot. I wasn’t intentionally watching weight I just had to be careful.

We got married 18 months after I gave birth and I was back to 200lbs. Then got pregnant again! Same story, had gestational diabetes and didn’t gain much but after him was a different story.

Survival of the fittest, I ate whatever I could to get by with a newborn and a 2.5yr old. I ended up getting up to 260! I felt horrible and the risk of so many health issues was on the forefront.

I tried keto, fasting, calorie counting, you name it I did it. Working out every single day, twice a day. I got down to 200 on keto but gained 30 back. My endocrinologist suggested Wegovy, I tried that for 6 months and lost 20lbs. I then switched to Mounjaro and lost NOT ONE POUND.

For me this is all about long lasting health and avoiding type 2 diabetes. Being at my best so I’m here for my children and husband!

Now here I am 2 weeks prior to having VSG surgery, praying that’s the answer!

I don’t plan to document much on my other socials about it but I’m going to use Lemon8 as my blog while I go thru it all. It’s an odd one for me because I share so much about fashion on the size I am and I haven’t really figured out how to approach it all on my socials. I’m not hiding anything just not sure the right place/time.
