I used to be the world’s biggest over thinker. I’d replay conversations in my head 24-7, I’d stress about what my friends were thinking, I’d stress about the foods I was eating or the workouts I was doing. It was never ending, and it felt like I wasn’t in control of my own thoughts… because I wasn’t.
I’ve spent a significant amount of time thinking about every single thing on this list, but since learning how to take control of my own thoughts, I seldom spend time stressing about these things.

Write out your thoughts
journaling allows you to get the thoughts out of your head and find patterns in your thoughts thus making your aware when you’re constantly thinking about the same thing
Tell yourself to stop
when those thought patterns come into your head, literally tell yourself to stop. remind yourself what the truth is or what the solution is and don’t allow yourself to dive back into the thoughts
Use affirmations
reciting affirmations that counter your thought spirals gives you something positive to replace those thoughts with
Get your sh*t done
instead of over thinking, just do. have the conversation, try things until you find what works. if you can’t control it, stop thinking about it
