We all have things that we are insecure about. Some are physical, some have to do with our personality, some we can work to change, some we can’t.

So let’s talk about some of my biggest insecurities.

My mole: this might seem so silly and I honestly doubt most people even notice this silly little mole on my face, but everytime I see it in the mirror or in photos… I hate it!

The rolls around my arms: I love the way my upper body looks. I look strong, I look capable… I love it! But I HATE the tiny rolls that form near my armpit. Of course there’s other areas of my body that I don’t love, but these rolls just drive me crazy!

Struggling to build relationships with women: This is a little less surface level, but I’m really insecure about my ability to form relationships with women. I grew up with a mom that wasn’t very feminine and inadvertently caused me to have a lot of distrust for other women. I WANT to be a girls-girl, but sometimes I find myself struggling to connect and trust women. Luckily, this is something I am working to change through therapy, but I’m still really insecure about it.

My handwriting and spelling abilities: I have dyslexia and sometimes that makes spelling things really hard for me. That doesn’t mean I’m stupid or uneducated, it just means that spelling takes extra work for me. When I’m feeling anxious, this becomes even more apparent. I also happen to hate the way my handwriting looks. So standing up in front of people and writing on a white board is HELL for me.

Let’s normalize sharing the things we are insecure about! We’re all human after all!
