government subsidies for mental health treatment ‼️

following up with the previous post, i thought it’d be apt to share some subsidies for public mental health treatment for those intending to seek help! ❤️ ofc the government can DEFINITELY do more but i hope what is available now helps to lower the barrier to access mental health treatment for you 🫶🏻

in case you didnt know, mental health services are covered under existing healthcare subsidy schemes for outpatient and inpatient treatments (up to 80%!) so as long as you are referred through polyclinic etc, your treatment will be subsidised!

but here’s more schemes you may not know of:

Medisave for Outpatient Treatments of 23 conditions under Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP)

💊 Up to $500 for non-complex conditions, or $700 for complex chronic conditions per annum per patient

💊 Covers dementia, and mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety

for more severe cases,

Medishield Life Inpatient Psychiatric

💊 Up to 60 days per policy year

💊 $16​0 per day​
