My Day as an Account Executive in NYC 👩🏼‍💼

I’ve been working as an Account Executive in NYC for about a year and a half now. It’s a hybrid role, so I come into our NYC office about 2x a week.

I love working hybrid because you get the best of both worlds. Although it’s nice to be able to work in the comfort of your own home, it also great to be able to go in person and get that social interaction aspect of your job. This is what my typical day looks like when I go into the office:

I take the train into the city, which is about a 40 minute ride. Then I’ll walk to the office from the train station because it’s a short 12 minute walk. I actually enjoy this part because I get a lot of my steps in. I’ll pick up breakfast on the way - today I got a chai latte, yogurt parfait, and croissant.

My day starts when I get into the office. As an account executive, no days look the same because there’s so much we do. Some of our typical responsibilities include managing client relationships, updating timelines, and developing budgets.

Lunch time is my favorite because there are so many good places around the office. Today my coworkers and I got sweetgreen, and ate it on the rooftop. I got the buffalo chicken salad, which was delicious.

Once I’m done with work, I sometimes take a fitness class before heading home. Today I took a relaxing yoga class at Humming Puppy. This was a great way to end the day!
