STAYCAY AT MARINA BAY SANDS HOTEL - WORTH ANOT 💸💸💸

The price tag on this hotel is NO JOKE 😭 (cheapest room is around $900) but is it worth it? Tbh it is a really nice place if u r rich 😂😂 the hotel is connected to the mall so shopping is right at ur doorstep. Security is quite tight too, and the views are SPECTACULAR ❤️ Of course, service is 100/10. Water was offered to us the moment we walked in and staff will come and guide u to the check in area etc. In fact, the moment u step out of the car, they r alr asking to help u take ur bags. This is the Taitai lifestyle I want but cant get 😭😂 The first hiccup I faced was queuing for check in. The lines were soooooo long??? Even thought there were 5-6 counters open. There are many tourists, mostly from mainland China and I think theres a language barrier issue, so it took some time for both them and the staff to understand each other. I queued for about 30 mins and was given a free upgrade because of that (which I didnt mind). Everyone was very polite and friendly too, and recommended things for us to do etc near the area. OH YES, a $200 deposit is required for every room. Dont worry, u’ll get it back upon checkout. Every additional pax staying the night (they get access to the pool) is $100++.

Our room was a lot bigger than expected, with a HUGE bathroom. It also had a bathtub YAY! I wasn’t prepared so I went to Sephora to get some bath bombs / salts. The hotel also provides a packet of bath salts, but only sufficient for one person. There was a vanity with a wardrobe area. Many mirrors to take mirror selfies - esp for vain ppl like me HAHA 🤭 The room comes with a king sized bed - the mattress was comfy but I hated the pillows cus they were memory foam. (I barely slept 😞) They provide nespresso coffee machine and 6 coffee pods! Also a drawer full of tea, sugar and creamer. The mini bar was also free 🤩. Breakfast was not included for me and if I wanted to I had topup $56++, which I had originally planned to do but couldnt get up the next day 😂

TBH the room wasnt special or anything…. It has most of the stuff a regular hotel room will have. The best part of it was the view. Its rly SO SO SO PRETTY 😩😩 All hotel guests will have access to the infinity pool and the view there is even better!!!! Only REGISTERED GUESTS can enter. U need a key card EACH to go in and theres staff checking every person to make sure they arent sneaking in. So dont bother sneaking in!

Food wise, we didnt order any room service cus the chicken rice is $33… 😅 However we did eat nearby. We had lunch at Roberta’s (2 pizzas 2 non alcoholic drinks = $80+ after gst and service charge), dinner at Gordan Ramsey’s breadstreet kitchen (2 mains, beef wellington - tbh can feed 3 people, 2 alcoholic drinks, 3 starters, 1 bottle of still and sparkling water = $390+ aft gst n service charge). Later on we went to Gastrobeats and blew $120 on games and claw machines 😂😂 the food there was honestly horrible. Wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy (im sorry). Its expensive and bad 🥲 Upside was the really friendly staff, esp those manning the booth.

If yall are night owls and want supper, take note theres literally no 24hr supper places / restaurants that open till late. Unless u go to a club maybe HAHA but u can foodpanda like we did! Even then u cant order too late, most of the shops stop taking delivery orders by 12.30am ish. Bring ur own cup noodles if necessary 😂

Would I stay there again? NAH. But I think its worth going just ONCE, for the experience and for the views. Its nothing special, u can stay in St Regis for half the price and the rooms look a lot better ngl. Hope this helps if u r planning for a staycay!
